Feature Story!

Cited       On the website I have provided above includes an article named, Discovering My Hips in Hula Dancing, written by Dana Mackenzie. It was an interesting article to read and I enjoyed it a lot. It was about how Dana Mackenzie, a skinny male that was 40-something years old, who wanted to learn how to hula dance. He compared it to the Samoan dances that he saw on the Hawaii trip with his wife and figured hula would be easy to learn except that wasn't the case. With this thought in his head, Dana goes ahead and signs up for a hula class, but then he got sent out because the ladies there were uncomfortable with him there. After that he waited about 2 years and tried a class again. This time he was able to join because there were 2 other males taking this class as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6kD_WdFZdK8       After joining the class, he figures out that moving his hips are difficult for him and that the real problem is actually mental rather than physica

Top 5 Songs You Can Dance To

Image
        1. Creep-TLC  TLC is a group of females that makes R&B music where it adds a sassy tone and has me in that mood. There is another popular one called Scrubs which is probably a better known song than this one. Creep creates a groovy vibe, it's an easy song to just simply move your feet to which makes it my favorite. The beat of it just makes me move not only my legs and feet, but my waist and hips too. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TLC_(group)           2. Wake Me Up Before You Go Go- Wham!  This song is still very well known till this day. It was most popular in the 80s though, which is the era it was made and created. The first time I've heard this song would have to be on the movie, Happy Feet 2,  when I was only 9, 10 years old. I believe it will be a very good song to dance to. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedom_(Wham!_song)       3. ABC- The Jackson 5  The Jackson 5 was a very famous boy group that sang many upbeat

Ballet is the Most Boring Dance!

Image
The most boring type of dance would have to be ballet. I feel that the music doesn't hype people up and can be too serious. An article on the website,  https://atthebarre.net/ballet-is-boring/ , talks about how ballet can be a challenge and that people just don't like that. Some people will think ballet as time consuming as well. I view this dance as it will be perfection and a lot of coordination.        Although, ballet can be beautiful once it is all put together. I just wouldn't prefer doing it myself or seeing myself taking the time to do it and learn it. Sorry to disappoint you if you think otherwise and was reading this blog, mistaking it for something else. Hopefully this blog will help you and others be open to the idea of free styling or maybe any other type of dance.  https://www.teepublic.com/pin/3578691-boring-panda
